UC’s Dr. Barry Vann Delivers Key Note Address at Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland

University of the Cumberlands’ (UC) Director of the Ed. D program, Dr. Barry Vann was invited to be the key note speaker for a prestigious conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland held on June 6th. Vann’s impeccable knowledge and insight on the relationship of Northern Ireland and Appalachia brought new light to many topics and ideas during his stay in Belfast.

“I was invited to speak at the conference by Dr. Michael Peirse of Queen’s University in Belfast,” said Vann.

UC Physician Assistant Program Open House - February 26, 2015

On Thursday, February 26, the University of the Cumberlands Physician Assistant program is hosting an Open House starting at 6:30 PM in the Correll Science Building in room B135.

No registration necessary. Students are welcome to bring transcripts for faculty to review.

During the open house everyone will get an overview of the PA program, receive information on the admission process and requirements for acceptance.

UC’s Hutton School of Business ranks 11th in BizLexington

University of the Cumberlands (UC) Hutton School of Business (HSB) MBA program has improved its ranking on the BizLexington listing of MBA Programs in Kentucky. The MBA Program has moved from #13 to #11 on this annual ranking, moving ahead of Eastern Kentucky University and Campbellsville University.

HSB’s Chair Dr. Margaret Combs credits the ranking improvement to the extra steps faculty and organizers have taken in progressing from last year’s 13th place.

University of the Cumberlands Offers Assistance to Mid-Continent Students

University of the Cumberlands (UC) is reaching out to students displaced by the closure of Mid-Continent University (MCU) in western Kentucky, to offer help in finishing their degrees.

UC welcomes any students interested in transferring from MCU to apply for admission.

Hutton School of Business hosts 2014 Business Forum

On Wednesday, April 16, University of the Cumberlands (UC) Hutton School of Business hosted the 7th annual Business Forum for Young Professionals.

The business forum is designed to prepare young professionals as they enter the business workforce. Industry professionals share their professional experiences and discuss ways in which businesses can thrive, not just survive, in any financial climate.
