Director of Pupil Personnel, Director of Special Education, & Supervisor of Instruction

  • Completed Graduate Application and payment of associated application fee
  • Completed Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree
  • Official Transcript(s)
    • Must be received from ALL degree issuing colleges/universities and show a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • Teaching License & three (3) years of teaching experience. Candidates pursuing certification for Director of Special Education need to have 1 of their 3 years of experience in special education or school psychology.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation

School Principal

  • Completed Graduate Application and payment of associated application fee
  • Completed Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree
  • Official Transcript(s)
    • Must be received from ALL degree issuing colleges/universities and show degree and date of conferral as well as a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • Teaching License & three (3) years of documented teaching experience.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation, one each from a sitting principal, other school or district administrator and P-12 educator or professional staff attesting to the candidate’s professional dispositions, skills, and understanding of (a) ability to improve student achievement, (b) leadership, (c) advanced knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and evidence of ability to improve student achievement.

  • Assessment of entry level Writing Assignment, which attests to and shows evidence of the candidate’s skills and understanding of (a) ability to improve student achievement, (b) leadership, (c) advanced knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment and evidence of ability to improve student achievement. Completed as part of the Graduate Application.
  • Kentucky Professional Code of Ethics signed by candidate.
  • Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination if the candidate is not employed by the school district where he/she is performing field experiences.

School Superintendent

  • Completed Graduate Application and payment of associated application fee
  • Completed Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree
  • Official Transcript(s)
    • Must be received from ALL degree issuing colleges/universities and show a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • Teaching License & three (3) years of teaching experience
  • Certification for Supervisor of Instruction or Principalship
  • Two (2) years in educational administration
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
