Summer 2017 Graduate Stafford Loan Request

Term: May 8, 2017 - August 16, 2017.
Student MUST have 2017-18 FAFSA on file before submitting Summer '17 loan request form.

Students who are pursuing a graduate or professional degree are no longer eligible for Direct Subsidized Stafford loans. Graduate and professional students are still eligible for the same annual amount in Direct Stafford Loans; however, all of the loan funding will be in Direct UNSUBSIDIZED Stafford Loans. This will mean that as the borrower, you will be responsible for the interest that accumulates while you are in school.

Important Note: BEFORE submitting this form students should register for all classes they are taking, in both sets of Summer bi-term classes. Students should also submit loan request for both Summer bi-terms at once. Please consider your full semester needs before submitting a loan request.

Next Step: An official award letter from UC will be mailed to you indicating the loan approval. You are required to sign and return the form to our office showing acceptance or denial of the loan. Additionally, if this will be your first semester of Federal Direct Loan assistance at UC, you MUST complete Federal Direct Loan Entrance Counseling and sign a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.studentloans.gov in order for your loan to be disbursed to your student account.
