Dr. Dennis Trickett is an alumnus of Cumberland College, having graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Psychology. In 1981, he earned an M.R.E. in Religion Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, followed by an Ed. D. in Psychology and Counseling in 1986. Prior to his returning to Cumberland in 1997 as a member of the faculty, Dr. Trickett spent ten years as a therapist and Director of Substance Abuse Prevention at the Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center.
Dr. Trickett is a member of the Society for Teaching of Psychology, the American Counseling Association, and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Dr. Aganov is an educator, healthcare executive, personal & executive coach, media consultant and public speaker specializing in financial, business communication, academics, and relationship issues. Having started his psychology training in Kiev, Ukraine, Dr. Aganov continued his education in Minnesota, and later in California, where he received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He also extended his academic career to include a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
At the University of the Cumberlands, Dr. Aganov is Assistant Director of Study Abroad in Oxford, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology. As such, he participates in online instruction for both the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.A. in Professional Counseling degree programs. A portion of each academic year Dr. Aganov is in residence at St Stephen’s House, Oxford, a Permanent Private Hall of University of Oxford.
In addition to lecturing at University of the Cumberlands, Dr. Aganov is also Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the California Institute for Human Science where he teaches graduate and postgraduate psychology courses. Dedicated to facilitating distance learning and the advancement of the profession, Dr. Aganov is registered with the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and the Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC) to invigilate proctored exams to students engaged in distance learning.
Dr. Eric Charles Stephens, who specializes in engineering psychology and cognitive aging, joined the Cumberland College faculty in 2001. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Berea College, an M.A. in Applied Experimental Psychology from Western Kentucky University, and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Kentucky.

Haley Crisp Turner joined the Cumberland faculty in 2007. She specializes in School Psychology. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from East Tennessee State University and received her Ph.D. in Education with a Concentration in School Psychology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2007. She recently completed an APA-approved internship in School Psychology with a mental health agency in East Tennessee. During this internship, she specialized in diagnosing and intervention planning for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Turner commutes from Knoxville where she and her husband live. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach and lake.
Kristy Keefe is an Associate Professor of Psychology at University of the Cumberlands and a licensed psychologist in the states of Kentucky (H.S.P.) and Indiana. She joined the faculty in August of 2010. She obtained her B.S. from the University of Wisconsin and her M.A. and Psy.D. from the University of Indianapolis. She is passionate about training new professionals in clinical work / counseling and teaches courses in psychological theory, individual and group counseling techniques, assessment, and multicultural aspects. Her training and expertise encompasses several years as a therapist at university counseling centers including her APA accredited internship at Miami University and post-doctoral residency at Purdue University. Dr. Keefe specialized in psychotherapy supervision and assessment, and college students dealing with serious mental illness, eating disorders, and ADHD & LDs. Her research interests involve therapist development and supervision, delusion proneness and cognitive decision making, and CBT with psychotic disorders. She is active in the Kentucky Psychological Association, currently directing the KPA Early Career Psychologists Mentoring Program, and occasionally provides disability assessments for the state of Kentucky. Her family roots are in both Wisconsin and Arkansas.
