The Master of Arts in Christian Studies at University of the Cumberlands focuses on developing a thorough understanding of the Bible, theology, education, our contemporary culture, and ministry strategies to prepare individuals to minister effectively in the 21st century. The program is designed to emphasize practical application while also providing a strong academic foundation in all areas, preparing students to be Christian leaders in their respective ministries.

Students are provided with the opportunity to learn from and interact with some of the most respected and influential Christian leaders in the United States. Students develop ministry expertise by applying Biblical knowledge, theology, and ministry skills to the local church or para-church organization where they serve. The program is designed to accommodate working professionals and can be completed entirely online.

Improving One Life at a Time.

Our two-year program in Professional Counseling is designed to accommodate students who wish to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Students are cross-trained in several distinct areas of mental health care and provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to become primary-care mental health provider.

Our Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology emphasizes the study of basic neurosciences and clinical psychopharmacology as a basis for the rational treatment of mental illness. This program is designed to provide students with the academic background and clinical training necessary to fulfill the educational requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in most states. In addition, it provides the advanced scientific and clinical training required to become a Licensed Medical Psychologist in states which grant prescriptive authority to mental health practitioners.

It is our intent to prepare clinicians whose lifestyle reflects a commitment to lifelong learning, leadership and service to their community.

This accredited and recognized program prepares students for one of the fastest growing fields in healthcare. Students are given the opportunity to obtain the knowledge, skills and credentials necessary to sit for the PANCE Exam and enter into a rewarding future as a physician's assistant. This program is offered under a cohort system with course work to be completed over twenty-four months.
