Dr. Jacob Bryant has found a home at the University of the Cumberlands that is an all-around fit for his core values. Dr. Bryant is a parishioner of his local church, and he recognizes the role God has played in shaping his career. Dr. Bryant is, first and foremost, a teacher who enjoys the process of inquiry and problem-solving, which has allowed him to find another passion: research. In his current role as dissertation faculty at the Graduate School, he enjoys being a multiplier by guiding students through their doctoral research. In his short time at UC, he has supervised over 25 dissertations and served on over 50 dissertation committees. Additionally, he supports Leadership Studies students through the comprehensive exam process. Before joining UC, Dr. Bryant served as a middle school classroom teacher, curriculum writer, academic interventionist, athletic director, assistant principal, and high school assistant principal. Additionally, Dr. Bryant has taught courses in teacher and school principal preparation, which are part of his goal to see that every child has an opportunity through a high-quality education!
